Delicious Breakfast Recipes

Avocado Toast with bacon and egg (2 Portions)

Cooking Time: approx. 15min

Ingredients:

  • 4 Slices of Toast or Bread
  • 1 Avocado
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 Slices of Bacon
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Optional: Lemon Juice & Chili Flakes

Utensils:

  • Frying Pan
  • Stove Top

Preparation:

The first step is to pan fry the bacon. This will cut out the fat that you will use for the flavor profile of the rest of the sandwich. Once the bacon is cooked, remove it from the pan and place it on a paper towel to drain.

Next, toast your bread slices in the bacon fat. Is that healthy? No way! Is it delicious, oh yes! Once both sides are toasted, remove and set aside.

Now it's time to fry the egg. While the egg is sizzling, you can get to work on the avocado. Halve, remove core, chop and spoon out. Quite easy. Depending on the size of the avocado, spread one half per sandwich and sprinkle with spices. We prefer to use salt, pepper, a little lemon juice and chili flakes.

Then you layer the bacon on top, put the egg on top and you're done.

A perfect start to the day that pampers your taste buds and sends you into the morning full of energy.

  • Bowl

  • Stove Top

Preparation:

Firstly, cut the slices of toast into three strips each. Then break the eggs into a shallow bowl and whisk. Add the milk, sugar, cinnamon and salt and mix well again.

Now melt the butter in a non-stick pan over a medium heat. Dip the strips of toast in the egg and milk mixture and place in the pan. After about 5 minutes, the strips should be crispy brown on both sides. Now you can remove them from the pan and serve with your favourite toppings and dips.

Yummy Treats for Those With a Sweet Tooth

BBQ Banoffee Split (6 Portions)

Cooking Time: approx. 25min

Ingredients:

  • 40g Soft butter
  • 50g Brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 6 Ripe bananas
  • Pecan nuts, ice creme, whipped cream and/or yoghurt

Utensils:

  • Tin foil
  • Barbecue grill (or a campfire!)

Preparation:

Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla extract. Cut open the inside of each banana with a knife. Make sure not to cut them all the way through. Place each banana on a sheet of aluminium foil and spread the butter mixture evenly. Now all you have to do is press the edges of the foil together to seal the parcels.

Tip:  You can also prepare the parcels the day before and simply chill them until then!

Erhitze den Grill auf niedriger Stufe oder bis eine dünne Kohlenschicht grau geworden ist. Die Bananenpäckchen 15 Minuten lang garen, dabei einmal wenden.

Heat the grill on a low setting or until a thin layer of coals has turned grey. Cook the banana parcels for 15 minutes, turning once.

At the end of the cooking time, carefully unwrap the bananas (be careful not to lose the sauce inside!) Arrange on plates and serve with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream or yoghurt, depending on your preference. Finish off with the pecans and sauce and you've got a delicious treat.

Of course, you can also get creative and create your own combination.

Campfire-cones

  • Mini marshmallows
  • Smarties, M&Ms or other tasty treats of your choice

It tastes just as good with small fruit slices or berries!

Utensiles:

  • Tin foil
  • Campfire

Preparation:

Simply pack the desired ingredients alternately into the cones, wrap in aluminium foil and place in the campfire. It is best to place them on the edge so that the contents melt slowly and evenly. Now carefully remove from the fire, unwrap and enjoy!

The best thing is that everyone can create their own mixture to suit their taste!
