The most beautiful campervan tours for beginners

A motorhome tour offers you many advantages compared to a classic package holiday. You are flexible and independent and can change your route and destination at any time. The Salzkammergut circular tour in Austria

 

The Salzkammergut circular tour is perfect for beginners who want to start in Austria. The tour leads through the beautiful landscape of the Salzkammergut and offers breathtaking views of mountains, lakes and forests. The tour begins in Salzburg, a charming city known for its Baroque architecture and cultural wealth. From here we continue on the picturesque Wolfgangsee Straße, which runs along Lake Wolfgangsee. On the way you pass charming villages and wonderful views of the mountains and lake.

Next, the circular tour leads over Lake Fuschl to St. Gilgen - a charming little village on Lake Wolfgang, which offers a variety of activities such as hiking, cycling and boating. If you have time, you should definitely visit Mozart's city or take a boat tour on Lake Wolfgang to experience the picturesque surroundings even better.

Further along the route we head to Bad Ischl, a small town with a rich history and numerous cultural attractions. From there we continue on the B145 along Lake Traunsee to Attersee, two of the most beautiful lakes in the region. The Attersee is the largest lake in the area and offers numerous opportunities for water sports and swimming.

Past Lake Mondsee, the Salzkammergut tour ultimately leads back to Salzburg, where you have many opportunities to explore the city and its surroundings. Salzburg is known for its history, culture and culinary delights. Visit the famous Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Gardens or Hellbrunn Palace and enjoy Austrian cuisine in one of the city's many restaurants or cafés.

If you want to look for a campsite during your trip, you can find a few to choose from on the Salzkammergut website, which are located directly on the shores of Lake Wolfgang and offer numerous amenities such as electricity and water connections as well as sanitary facilities and a restaurant.

The Alpine tour through Austria, Italy, Germany and Switzerland

 

If you want to go on a slightly longer tour, the Alpine tour is perfect for you. The tour leads through Austria, Italy, Germany and Switzerland and offers breathtaking views of the high mountains and picturesque landscapes.

The tour begins in Innsbruck and takes you over the Brenner Pass, on the A13 to South Tyrol in Italy. There you can drive through picturesque vineyards and charming villages and enjoy Italian cuisine.

We continue over the Passo dello Stelvio, one of the highest Alpine roads in Europe, to Livigno. Here you can hike, mountain bike or simply enjoy the landscape.

The tour then takes you through Switzerland, past the breathtaking Swiss Alps and Lake Lucerne, here the A2 motorway is used to drive towards Zurich. Zurich enchants tourists from all over the world with its medieval old town and a wide range of cultural events.
